Brakes went all the way to the floor boards. Won't know till next week what failed. Lucky, I was on local back roads and not in town.
Heat index 107 degrees this past week and the humidity through the roof. Further south from us, the heat index warning is 117 degrees.
Thunderstorms dumping inches of rain within an hour. Yard flooding in an instant. Drainage ditches become running rivers. Big damage in town and surrounding areas. Still 4,800 without power this morning.
Roof completely removed and dropped a half-block away.

Cat has allergies and sloppy sneezing. Apparently, our pets are as susceptible to allergies as we are. Now the cat has doctor appointments, too.
The rain has stopped as of this posting. High heat index warnings in the days ahead. We were just inside the edge of the warning zone yesterday.
Winter squash, green beans, green peppers and herbs are thriving in the rain and heat. Knocked down from the high winds, I prop them back up with with small bamboo sticks the next day.
My wife's grandmother's lily's are again in full bloom
